The company is giving a standard warranty of three years with it. The engine fitted in this scooter is also used in Grazia 125 and Activa 125. It can generate max power of around 8.19 bhp and peak torque of 10.4 Nm. Its power is transferred to the rear wheel using a CVT automatic transmission. It gets a fully digital instrument cluster that shows average fuel efficiency, tripmeter, side stand indicator and service due indicator. Its smart variant has Honda’s H-Smart key in which multiple functions have been added through a single knob.
Talking about the new scooter, the company’s Managing Director, Tsutsumu Otani said, “With the launch of Honda Dio in 2002, the company introduced the concept of moto scooter in the country. It has a motorcycle-like design and offers scooter-like convenience. It has been well received by the customers. The Dio 125 has been specially designed keeping in mind the young customers’ preferences. It comes with a powerful engine coupled with sporty design and innovative technology.”
Last month, the company’s sales increased to 3,24,093 units. This includes domestic sales of 3,02,756 units and exports of 21,337 units. Activa has been a major contributor in increasing the sales of the company. Recently, Activa also achieved the milestone of selling more than three crore units. Earlier this year, the company launched the Activa 6G. The company’s H-Smart technology has been given in this. This is the new premium variant of Activa. The Activa is already the most popular scooter in the two-wheeler market. The starting price of the new Activa is Rs 74,536 (ex-showroom). It has been made available in three variants of Standard, Deluxe and Smart. HMSI had told that a smart find feature has been given in this scooter, so that the user can search the scooter using the smart key.
