Hyundai Starts Delivery Of Exter SUV, More Than 10,000 Bookings

Hyundai, one of the major companies in the automobile market, has started the delivery of Exter SUV in the country. Its starting price is Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the company’s most affordable SUV in the country. Apart from this, the company also has SUVs like Venue, Creta and Tucson.

In a media report, the company’s executives have been quoted as saying that Hyundai has received more than 10,000 bookings for this. Many features have been given in the Exter SUV and it can be helpful in increasing the sales of Hyundai. It will compete with Tata Motors’ Punch and Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx. It has been made available in White Color with Black Roof, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Titan Gray and Black Roof with Cosmic Blue and Ranger Khaki Colors. It will be sold in seven variants. These include EX, EX(O), SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect.

It has six airbags which are not found in any other car in this segment. 11,000 will have to be paid for its booking. The company is offering a warranty of three years or unlimited kilometers with it. The Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 83 PS of power and 11.6 Nm of torque. There is also the option of a 1.2-litre bi-fuel petrol and CNG engine, which can generate 69 PS of power and 95.2 Newton meters of torque. It is available in both manual and automatic variants. The Exter SUV can return a mileage of 19.4 kmpl with manual transmission, 19.2 kmpl with automatic transmission and 27.1 kmpl in CNG.

The company has given features like electronic stability control, vehicle stability control, hill assist control, burglar alarm, three point seatbelt, seatbelt reminder, speed sensing auto door lock and impact sensing auto door lock in Exter SUV. Hyundai has also made preparations to increase its share in the Electric Vehicles (EV) market. For this, the company will invest billions of dollars. Hyundai and its subsidiary Kia Corp are among the 10 largest automobile companies in terms of sales. Recently, Hyundai had told that it is planning to increase the production of EV in its biggest market America.
