Last week, a news from Iran caught the attention of the world. Iran claimed that it has developed a hypersonic missile that can travel 15 times the speed of sound. Iran named that missile as ‘Fattah’. Said it can reach Israel in just 400 seconds. Now Israel has responded to Iran. Israel’s defense manufacturer Rafael has claimed to have found a break for the hypersonic missile.

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems announced on June 14 that it is developing a new interceptor missile named Sky Sonic, which will specifically counter hypersonic weapons. That is, if Israel is to be believed, Iran’s ‘Fatah’ missile will have no effect on it, because Sky Sonic will destroy it already.

Rafael has described his interceptor missile as a defensive response to the growing threat of hypersonic missiles. The company can also show this interceptor concept at the ‘Paris Air Show’ next week. Dr. Yuval Steinitz, Chairman of Rafael Limited, told the news agency Reuters that the Sky Sonic Interceptor will enable us to stop all types of hypersonic threats such as hypersonic ballistic missiles, hypersonic cruise missiles.

Countries around the world are developing hypersonic missiles. China and Russia are said to already have hypersonic weapons. America is also developing them.
