Under this, the company will provide 4×4 Field Artillery Tractor (FAT), 6×6 Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV). Both these types of military vehicles have been inducted to tow light and medium guns. Both the platforms featured prominently in the positive indigenization list by the government in August 2020. After that a list of 108 items was released in May 2021 as well. And then in April 2022, the list of 101 items was released by the government under this. Ashok Leyland’s 7.5 Stallion vehicles have been the strength of the Indian Army since the Kargil War in 1999.

The company manufactures them exclusively at the Jabalpur Ordnance Factory under dedicated production for the military. The budget for military transportation has been kept at Rs 6,717 crore for this year. Apart from this, Rs 4,038 crore has been kept for capital expenditure. The company has invested in developing 4×4 platforms, 6×6 platforms, 8×8 platforms, 10×10 platforms, and 12×12 platforms for the Indian Armed Forces.
